Foxtale sunscreen review

Glass skin in a tropical country in the middle of summer? Let’s dial back on the daydreaming as we put on our extra-large sun hats. But maybe there’s a way to face the sun this season.

With one of the highest sun protection factors (SPF) on the market, Foxtale is here to make our skin goals come true. Created with a combination of ingredients that combat hyperpigmentation and skin irritation, this sunscreen can be a game-changer for Indian skin.

In this in-depth Foxtale sunscreen review we reveal why it might deserve a spot in your routine and some potential deal-breakers for all skin types. We tried the SPF 70 dewy finish variant for 3 months and here’s what we think:

Brand Claims and Ingredients

Foxtale claims that their SPF 70 Dewy Finish Sunscreen protects you from both UVA and UVB filters meaning it is a broad-spectrum sunscreen. It also contains some niacinamide, which is supposed to brighten the skin.

The third hero ingredient is provitamin B5 or D-panthenol which protects the skin barrier and calms irritation or inflammation. This sunscreen also contains vitamin E which also nourishes the skin.

Finally, the brand claims that this sunscreen will make your skin brighter and glowy while protecting your skin with SPF 70 with PA ++++.

Physical Impression

We absolutely loved the packaging for this sunscreen. It comes in a slender and long pump bottle that is easy to hold and use. The only issue is that since the bottle is so tall and light, it gets knocked over pretty easily which can be annoying.

I also liked how with every pump you get a pea-sized amount of the sunscreen, which makes it so easy to always get the right quantity out. It’s a pure white cream with a slight hint of a soapy fragrance.

Application Impression

The Foxtale Dewy sunscreen with 70 SPF is a chemical sunscreen that leaves no white cast after application. Since the fragrance is very mild, you can safely apply the product around your eyes.

The product is extremely lightweight and very easy to spread. It is also quite hydrating and I often skip the moisturizer if I’m putting this on in the summer.

Since it’s liquidy, it also gives a nice cooling sensation as it dries up. It takes barely 10 seconds for the product to dry up and leave behind a dewy finish. If you have minimal texture on your skin, this sunscreen will make it look more plump and very hydrated.

There’s nothing that I particularly dislike about the product. It seems to do most of what the brand claims. After 3 months of using it, I feel positive that their sun protection rating is true and accurate.

My hyperpigmentation and dry patches have gotten a lot better since I started using it. Maybe the only thing I don’t prefer is the dewy finish because it makes the texture of my skin even more visible. But if you’re going for the glass-skin look, this sunscreen will definitely help.

Review Conditions

At the time of testing this sunscreen, the weather was gradually shifting from winter to summer. Therefore, we tried it both during the dry and humid seasons.

We tested this product on our group of five adults with combination and oily skin types. No new skincare actives were used apart from the Foxtale sunscreen during this time. The sunscreen was applied only once in the morning every day for three months.
