Most of us use a face wash at least twice a day. However, using an anti-acne or medicated face wash every day can take a toll on your skin barrier.
After reading some positive reviews, I finally decided to get the Simple Refreshing Face Wash and add it to my daily routine. I have combination skin, which becomes very sensitive in the winter.

With its straightforward ingredients and sulphate-free formulation, this product seemed promising. Here is my detailed Simple Refreshing Face wash review after one year of daily use:
Simple Face Wash Claims
The product claims to be 100% soap (sulfate-free) and hypoallergenic. It is suitable for dry and sensitive skin. This face wash is also suitable for daily use.
The simple refreshing facial wash also contains vitamins B5 and E. This is supposed to give you radiant and glowing skin. This product is fragrance-free and does not contain any harmful chemicals.
Simple Face Wash Ingredients
The product has a very short ingredient list as follows:
Aqua, Glycerin, Aqua, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Panthenol, Disodium EDTA, Glycerin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hydroxide, Tocopheryl Acetate, and Citric acid.
Unfortunately, their website or packaging does not mention the amount or concentration of vitamins B5 and E in the facewash.
Physical and Application Impression
The simple refreshing face wash comes in a green, translucent plastic tube with a transparent cap. The packaging is minimal and convenient.
It also comes in two size variants 100ml and 150 ml. The smaller variant is convenient for traveling and doesn’t spill easily.
The simple face wash is colorless and has a gel-like texture that spreads easily over the skin. Since it is free from sulfates, it does not sud (foam) much.
A 150 ml tube will easily last you 3 months. You only need a two-pea-sized amount to wash your face thoroughly.

Review and Results
I have combination skin, with an oily t-zone and rather dry cheeks. In the winter, I usually suffer from dry, flaky, and sensitive skin.
Even though the simple facial wash does not contain any soap, it is surprisingly easy to spread over the skin.
Its hypoallergenic ingredients help my skin retain moisture and do not sting sensitive areas or even my eyes.
This product did not cause any skin irritation or acne. I was also using the minimalist 2% salicylic acid serum during this time; read my review here.
While being super gentle, it still does a good job cleaning my face and makes me feel fresh. Unlike their claims, it doesn’t make you radiant after continuous use.
The Simple Refreshing face wash is cost-effective and long-lasting, making it perfect for everyday use.
